I moved to a new location but am still in lease with the old place. The old lease end May 31st 2019, so just over two weeks. I am in the process of cleaning and fixing the building as per my lease agreement (bathroom was reconstructed as a bathing bunker for my dog salon. Lease states I must reconstruct back to a bathroom at end of lease). So today, one of the employees with the leasing company stops by to ask for my key because he wants to measure the property. I told him I didn't have a key on me at the moment. So he leaves. Two hours later, the english news capread leasing company manager stops by. He walks right through my gate that has a huge sign that says "Employees Only" and then hands me a key. He apparently rekeyed the property because he wanted to show it to someone. So... I've looked through my lease and can't find anything that states they must give notice before coming by and inspecting or showing the property and I can't find anything that states their rights on changing locks. I don't feel like this is legal. I'm so angry and I need help and suggestions. Id rather not pay my lawyer again.... I almost went to court with this same manager because he charged me back rent for the rent increase he never made or posted online for the past two lease terms (3 year lease).
